Seeing the success of willow weavings along Round Valley Creek and Fourmile Creek, we decided to use the stabilization method to tackle two particularly raw, steep and eroding stretches of the Little Salmon River in late September and October 2006. Volunteers armored the unstable banks with hundreds of locally harvested willows.
